Who is Calabar Woman?
Get to know the team behind the food!

Antonia, the Calabar Woman
For as long as I can remember, cooking has always been my passion.

As a young child, I played pretend Mom with my dolls, feeding them pretend food. As I got older, I would "borrow" rice, oil, tomatoes, etc from our kitchen and make rice and stew--Yes, real food! And this time, my faithful customers were my siblings. Being first daughter and second born in a family of 8 children, I had my first clientele!
As I grew up into my teenage years, cooking and baking became very much a part of my life. When I graduated from high school and was waiting to get into University, I spent the time improving my culinary skills.

My dream for Calabar Woman is that Nigerian food will become a staple like Chinese and Mexican food.

Our Family
Calabar Woman is a family owned and operated business. From Tonia's two eldest children, who help to manage the business, to her two youngest children, who assist with the cooking, each member applies their own unique skills and creativity to create and maintain a fruitful business that everyone can enjoy.
